Rachel Johnson-Koenke, PhD, LCSW, MSW, BSW
Dr Johnson-Koenke is the Director of Pond Counseling and Coaching, has been a licensed clinical social worker for over 15 years and is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado and the first interdisciplinary PhD graduate from the College of Nursing. Her work has focused on helping people living with chronic illness from research to working clinically.
Rachel's research interest is using stories to help people with chronic illnesses live better. She has been testing and refining an intervention to help people live better with chronic illness called the Narrative Intervention for Chronic Illness (NICI), which has been demonstrating preliminary positive outcomes for depression, anxiety, and illness self-management.
